First In Tallahassee: Pain Pump
The TOSC is pleased to offer patients the benefit of a "regional block" for their pain. The "continuous peripheral nerve block" delivers medication direct to the affected area and allows patients to avoid side affects often associated with oral narcotics. Patients report recovering quicker immediately following the surgery and at home. A pain pump provides better managed pain for up to 66 hours during your recovery and there's no need to return to the Center for device removal. Talk to your surgeon or anesthesiologist about the advantages of regional blocks before your surgery.
